Managing your schedule efficiently is crucial for maximizing your opportunities as a photographer. Smiler’s integration with Google Calendar and the Working Hours feature help prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure clients can only book you during your available times.

Enjoy peace of mind with Smiler, knowing you won’t be booked during hours that you are unavailable and your calendar always remains up-to-date.

How to Connect Your Calendar & Set Working Hours

1. Connect Google Calendar:

  • Go to the “Storefront” tab in your Smiler Photographer Suite.

  • Navigate to the “Calendar” section and click “Connect Your Calendar.”

  • Log in to your Google Account and grant Smiler the necessary permissions by checking the appropriate boxes. This allows Smiler to prevent conflicts and add new events to your calendar.

  • After granting permissions, configure which Google Calendars you want Smiler to check for conflicts and add new events to.

2. Set Up Working Hours:

  • In the “Calendar” page of your Photographer Suite, you can set up your working hours.

  • Select the days of the week you are available and toggle your availability on or off.

  • For each day, specify the exact hours you are available. For example, if you want to work from 11 AM to 4 PM on Fridays, set those hours accordingly.

  • These settings will prevent clients from booking you outside your specified working hours and during any events in your Google Calendar.

3. Block Off Personal Time:

  • To prevent bookings during personal time, open your connected Google Calendar.

  • Select the date and time you want to block off and create an event (e.g., label it “Busy”).

  • Save the event in your Google Calendar. Smiler will recognize this block and prevent bookings during these times.

Benefits and Use Cases

  • Avoid Scheduling Conflicts: Synchronizing Smiler with Google Calendar ensures that your schedule is up-to-date and prevents double bookings.

  • Control Availability: Setting specific working hours allows you to control when clients can book you, ensuring you have personal time and preventing overbooking.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Easily block off personal time directly in Google Calendar, giving you flexibility in managing your day-to-day activities.

  • Increased Professionalism: An organized and conflict-free schedule enhances your professionalism and client satisfaction, as they can confidently book sessions without the risk of cancellations or rescheduling.
