How to register an upsell photoshoot

An upsell photoshoot is an extra link that you can offer to your customers so they may buy extra photos from you. Below you will find how to create an upsell link quickly and easily:

First go to photographer.joinsmiler.com and into our uploading system. There click on “Send additional gallery”.


Once in this tab you will find all your previous customers on the right side of the screen. Click on ”Add gallery” next to the customer you wish to send an extra link to.

Once you click on it a pop-up will appear, this is where you can determine the price of the upsell photoshoot and/or the price of each individual photo:

Once you have determined the price you can simply go into uploading your photos by dragging and dropping them into the designated area. Once you are done simply click on the “Send to client” pink button and we will take care of the rest !


When to do an upsell? You have two ways of offering an upsell:

  • Always have extra photos that could be utilised? Then feel free to create an extra link to include all this extra photos for your customer to see and decide if they want to purchase them

  • Have some time after the original pre-booked photoshoot? Why don’t you offer your customer to go to an extra location nearby and have an all new photoshoot there.

Top tips:

Let’s talk about a few tips, do’s and don’ts, so when you get to it everything will go smoothly for you and your customers:

  • Make the upsell has interesting has your main pre-booked link

  • If you decide of a price in advance with your customers, stick to this price or if you wish to modify it make sure to discuss it with your clients prior to it

  • Make sure to include the best photos in the pre-booked link as it is what your customers paid for.
