What is the Smiler app?

The Smiler photographer app gives you quick and easy access to your Smiler account with the tap of a finger. With the Smiler photographer app, you can browse Smiler photoshoot opportunities near you, log customer photoshoots, track the money you have made as a Smiler photographer, and much more.

How do I access the Smiler app?

You need a Smiler photographer account to access the Smiler app. When you open the app for the first time, you will be asked to log in using your Smiler photographer account details.

Don’t have a Smiler photographer account yet? You can also create an account through the app by clicking ‘Register’ and filling in your details.

How to Download the Smiler App

The Smiler App is available for most mobile phones running iOS (iPhone) or Android.

To download the Smiler app on your Android device, you can search ‘Smiler photographer’ in the Google Play Store, or follow this link: Download for Android

Why does the Smiler app ask for my location?

The Smiler app requests access to your location to know where the photoshoot was taken. Some locations have different photo pricing or details for the customer, so knowing the location of the photoshoot makes sure that your pricing is set correctly. In the past, this information would come from ‘My Schedule’ or have to be set manually. By using your phone’s location information, this now happens automatically.

TIP: When the Smiler has access to your location, you no longer have to book hotspots in My Schedule! You can shoot at any hotspot, any time you like and the Smiler app will have instant access to the location details.

Why does the Smiler app ask for access to my camera?

The Smiler app uses your phone’s camera to scan the QR code on a consumer’s voucher. If you don’t want to give camera access to the Smiler app, you can also enter voucher details manually into the app without needing to scan the QR code.

My phone is incompatible with the Smiler app. Can I still use Smiler?

You can still visit photographer.joinsmiler.com on your phone’s mobile browser to access your Smiler account and log customer photoshoots. Please note that some features are only compatible with the Smiler app and may be unavailable via photographer.joinsmiler.com
